원래는 매일 부담없이 한 곡씩 올리고 자려고 했던 블로그의 꼭진데, 너무 게으름을 피웠다 싶어 점심시간 던킨도너츠에서 한 곡 땡겨준다. 마룬 5의 신곡 Payphone. 라디오에서 벌써 몇 번이나 들으며 어깨를 들썩거렸다. 마룬 5의 후크는 정말 대단하다.ㅋㅋ 오늘 안 사실인데, Moves Like Jagger 싱글이 전 세계적으로 850만 장 이상이 나갔구나…. 진짜 대박치긴 했어. 우리나라에서도 어딜 가든, 무슨 광고를 보든 이 곡만 흘러나왔잖아. Payphone엔 보컬이자 리더 애덤 르바인이 심사위원으로 참여했던 오디션 프로그램 <Voice>의 수상자인 위즈 칼리파가 참여했다. 영국 싱글차트에선 1위를 거머쥐었지만, 4집 <Overexposed> 앨범에 대한 평은 제각각인 듯하다. "한두 곡 건지면 끝", "자기복제"라며 폄훼하는 분도 계시던데…. 사실 1, 2집이 상업적으로든 음악적으로든 너무 뛰어났고, 버릴 곡이 하나도 없었던 이유도 있다. 이들이 좋아했던 (내 페이보릿 밴드인) 오아시스처럼 말이다. 아무튼… 자기복제 좀 하면 어때? 모든 밴드가 비틀즈같을 순 없잖아? ㅋㅋ
